DIRECTIONS FROM DURBAN.

Take IDUBE, UMBUMBULU, RICHMOND off ramp (approx 19km before PMB) follow it around and where you come to a bit of a cow guts (think you have to give way) you turn right where you will see the IDUBE sign on the left of the road. Do not go to IDUBE!

Keep straight on this road you will go past a clivia and cycad farm etc. Keep on this road till you hit a T junction with chicken farm in front of you go left.

It is only about 23 km to Richmond. You will start going down a hill and see the little Richmond sign, there is a little road shop on the right, you go left here. You will immediately come to a T junction turn right.

Now don't blink this is Richmond town. Go through the town and a little way out you will see a sign saying Hella Hella turn left here.

Stay on this road. You will do about 12km of tar from Richmond and then it will turn into a dirt road. Keep going. You will  cross the Umkomaas bridge. We live on the back of that mountain  in front of you. Keep going up the hill - minding any maniacs. You will go round a sharp corner, and if you look up you will see our house hanging off the cliff on the right. Keep going you will see our sign saying Nyala Valley etc turn right. Lock gate when you come through. Take the right hand fork when you come to the split around the corner.

 

DIRECTIONS FROM PIETERMARITZBURG

GO ON N3 TOWARDS DURBAN. AFTER YOU HAVE PASSED THE MIDLANDS MALL YOU WILL COME TO THE NEW ENGLAND OFF RAMP – TAKE THIS AND THEN GO RIGHT AT THE TOP.

GO STRAIGHT – AFTER THE GOLDEN HORSE THE ROAD SPLITS TAKE THE LEFT SPLIT – NOT THE ONE THAT CURVES TO THE RIGHT. AT THE BOTTOM YOU WILL COME TO A ROBOT  - THERE WILL BE THE WHISTLE STOP GARAGE IN FRONT TO YOUR RIGHT. GO RIGHT AT THIS ROBOT AND STAY IN THE LEFT HAND LANE BECAUSE AT THE NEXT ROBOT (ALMOST IMMEDIATELY) YOU GO LEFT.

THIS IS THE ALEXANDRIA ROAD. JUST KEEP STRAIGHT ON THIS ROAD UNTIL YOU SEE THE RICHMOND TOWN SIGN – TURN LEFT – WHEN YOU GET TO THE T JUNCTION TURN RIGHT.

GO STRAIGHT THROUGH THE TOWN. WHEN YOU GET A LITTLE WAY OUT OF TOWN YOU WILL SEE A ROAD TO THE LEFT CALLED HELLA HELLA TURN LEFT.

GO STRAIGHT ON THIS ROAD IT WILL TURN INTO A DIRT ROAD – KEEP GONG STRAIGHT – YOU WILL CROSS THE UMKOMAAS RIVER AND THEN WILL START CLIMBING A STEEP HILL YOU GO ABOUT 6 KILOMETRES.

YOU WILL GO ROUND A VERY SHARP CORNER AND THEN YOU CAN SEE OUR HOUSE ON THE LEFT – KEEP GOING AND THEN ON THE RIGHT YOU WILL SEE A SIGN SAYING NYALA VALLEY – WAYNE AND MARGIE GRANT TURN RIGHT AND THEN GO LEFT A LITTLE WAY INSIDE AND YOU WILL SEE THE MAIN HOUSE. STOP THERE.
